THE MYCRO IS PACKED WITH INNOVATIONS...
  • Airfoil design breakthrough allows inverted flight with virtually no elevator compensation.
  • First ever wraparound EPP leading edges for durability (CNC hotwire)
  • New wingtip shape better accommodates 'ground loop' and 'cartwheel' landings
  • EPS (CNC Hotwire) main wing construction and full depth spar for stiffness and airfoil fidelity.
  • Great for basic radio gear (See radio requirements and recommendations below)
  • Internal ballast pocket takes 1/4 oz ballast increments up to 1oz. (25% of rtf weight)
  • Custom molded gear cavity liners: once installed, servos press-fit in place, other gear is easy to access, secure, and surrounding foam is fully supported by the molded pocket wall.
  • For the first time, Liftworx is providing our famously detailed instructions only as a pdf download, with hundreds of detailed full color photos, so you have the option of working from a laptop, printing a complete manual for yourself, or printing one build session at a time as you progress through the build.
  • Designed by Harold Locke, one of the true originators of the wingtip launch.
  • Kit developed by Scobie Puchtler at Liftworx

RADIO GEAR REQUIREMENTS:
A general note: The use of custom gear pockets is a wonderful advancement for the Mycro kit and it's important to understand that this innovation creates onboard gear requirements that are more specific than many other small kits. We've chosen gear that represents the top value and performance for the Mycro. Read below for details.

RECEIVER:
The FMA M5 receiver is recommended for any mycro - and particularly for those local to Seattle - since it's one of the only receivers that's been reliable in Seattle city parks. If you have questions about receivers other than the M5, please ask.

Note: the M5 receiver is no longer available through Liftworx. If you need one for your kit, you can get it for less than ever direct from FMA.

SERVOS:
The mycro kit requires very specific servos due to the press-fit of the custom servo pocket liners. Liftworx is now a dealer for the Pico 6 gram servos which are strongly recommended, and are being offered in the first two kit packages. They feature low current draw, and a great selection of output arms - but are less expensive than the discontinued MX-30 servos. If you still have Maxx Products MX-30 servos, those will also fit.

Note: Alternative servos will require custom installation and balance.

TRANSMITTER:
  • Any transmitter capable of basic two channel single stick mixing and some means of reducing elevator sensitivity (Adjustable Travel Volume, ATV, etc.). The Mycro flies great on a simple transmitter.
  • With more advanced programmable transmitters. Exponential, launch presets, and custom high rate aileron travel switches can all be used with great effect.
ONBOARD BATTERY:
The Mycro flies great on the CR-2 battery pack from Liftworx, or a Nimh150mah flat pack. Pockets for both packs get installed in positions that balance the Mycro regardless of which pack is used.
